This weekend the Crushers MS Team got to open their season. They competed at the Seneca Valley Duals and wrestled all the big Pittsburgh Area Programs.
The Crushers had six forfeits in the lineup because of a few injuries and sickness. This means they started each match losing 36-0 to start. In the first match McCort was able to win 58-40 over North Allegheny. In match 2, they lost to Seneca Valley 48-45. Match 3 was vs Butler. McCort won that dual 49-36. In match 4, McCort beat Pine Richland 48-39 and in the last match of the day McCort wrestled West Allegheny. McCort won that one 48-36. The Crushers MS team will next compete at Powerade.
The Crushers had a bunch of unbeaten wrestlers: Keegan Bassett 5-0, Eli Herring 5-0, Emory Gunby 5-0, Melvin Miller 5-0, Jaeger Forrest 4-0, Josh Spontak 5-0, and Marquz Gordon 5-0.
Marquez Gordon was cleared Friday from a broken collarbone he suffered in Football. He wrestled the next day and looked amazing.
